My sister was an awesome and amazing woman. She always rose above all the trials she endured throughout her whole life. When she was diagnosed with cancer she never cried she maintained the attitude “Ok, what do we do next.”

When she was given the news that there was nothing they could do for her other than chemo, and only to add some time, she willingly accepted that and marched on with hope and faith. She was the one dieing yet she was the one holding everything together. She never once accepted pity or special treatment because of her disease.

She married her high school sweetheart and raised a beautiful daughter. She loved her dog Gus. He was her world, to her he was like a son. Her family always came first without hesitation. She would literally give the shirt from her back to anyone in need. She was my best friend and sister, although she was the younger sister she was always there to take care of me when I felt I couldn’t.

She worked for Fruit Flowers.com for many years. She also worked for Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey until the pain from the cancer became too much. She only quit her jobs because she felt that it wasn’t fair to the companies to not be able to give them 100% of her time, not because she was going to let the cancer take her over.

She was special to me because she was not only my sister, but she was truly my best friend. Our bond was unbreakable and to a degree it is still unbreakable. I dream of her and I can feel her presence around me everyday. The world has lost a wonderful woman and heaven has gained a very special angel. She will NEVER be forgotten. She lives in my heart forever.

Her favorite saying was to ” live, love and laugh ” she not only liked that saying, but she lived by it right up to the day she left this world.
