Our funds are raised and invested within local communities.

Get Your Rear in Gear grants create and fund programs in communities across North America to remove barriers to screening, educate the public about signs and symptoms, reduce patients’ financial burden, and fund research to fight colon cancer.

NEW UPDATE: Grant applications are open year-round but will only be reviewed in February and August.

When you apply for a grant, you step into a crucial role as an active partner in our Get Your Rear in Gear events.

Event supporters raise funds for our programs, but we need your help to continue consistently funding programs in the communities that need them most. By applying for a grant with the Coalition, you are committing to promote the events in your city to help support more patients and make as big of an impact as possible in the community.

Communities of color often face several barriers when it comes to healthcare, but early screening is vital to keeping people healthy. We are grateful for our partnership with the Colon Cancer Coalition to launch a longitudinal effort in Boston to reduce stigma and increase colon cancer screening rates for our disproportionately impacted Black and Latinx communities.”
