In the past 20 years, the Colon Cancer Coalition has directed nearly $20M in program support and over $10M in direct-to-community programs through money raised at the Coalition’s signature Get Your Rear in Gear® events and other large fundraising initiatives.
These grants back to the community address health disparities in our community through screening programs, research into young onset and quality of life for patients, education + awareness efforts, and patient support initiatives. The community grants build on existing efforts to support colorectal cancer patients and their families, increase access and screening rates, educate the public about life-saving colorectal cancer screening, and support research into health disparities, young-onset colorectal cancer, and personalized medicine.

Colorectal Cancer Screening
All screening programs supported by the Colon Cancer Coalition work to make access to colorectal cancer screening available for all people. 40% of the Coalition’s grant funding is dedicated to programs that fill gaps in the screening continuum for under and uninsured patients, from non-invasive screening to a follow-up colonoscopy (if needed) and navigation to treatment.
