Join our community in the fight against colon cancer on July 18, 2026, at Sparks Marina Park for the Get Your Rear in Gear - Reno 5K Run/Walk. This grassroots event raises funds and awareness to fight colorectal cancer, with all proceeds staying local to support screenings, patient resources, and education. The event features a welcoming environment for all fitness levels, whether you are running, walking, and families. Colorectal cancer survivors and patients register for free.
Race Highlights:
End the race through the giant inflatable colon
All participants get a participation medal
Fastest male and female per age group win a pie from ace hardware
All entries include a ticket for a barbecue grill raffle
All kids dash entries include a raffle ticket to win 2 Discovery Museum tickets
Registration Fees
Early Bird Fees: through June 19
Adult: $30
Youth (18 and under): $20
Kid’s Fun Run (10 and under): $10
Virtual Participant: $25
Regular Fees: June 19 – July 18
Adult: $35
Youth (18 and under): $25
Kid’s Fun Run (10 and under): $15
Virtual Participant: $25
Each adult registration = 1 entry into a raffle to win a barbecue grill donated by Lowe’s.
Each Kids Fun Run registration = 1 entry into a raffle to win a Discovery Museum ticket.
All participants receive medals!
