The Living with Lynch Patient Workshop, a partnership between AliveAndKick’n and the Colon Cancer Coalition, will take place in Seattle, WA, from September 18 – 21!
Living with Lynch is designed specifically for individuals with Lynch syndrome as an immersive experience to connect with fellow Lynch syndrome patients and previvors, gain peer support, learn from experts in the field, and receive advocacy training sessions to empower patients and build community.
Lynch syndrome is a genetic condition that dramatically increases a person’s lifetime risk for colon and other cancers. It is the most common inherited cause of colorectal and endometrial cancers. Many individuals with a Lynch mutation develop related cancers at very early ages, much younger than the general population. Screening should begin earlier for patients with a known Lynch mutation.
Programs like these are incredibly important to provide education, empowerment, peer support, and action-oriented advocacy. Participants will gain clarity on managing their diagnosis and future monitoring, share their experiences living with Lynch, and connect with individuals across the community. Attendees will also be equipped with tools to become advocates within cancer and Lynch syndrome awareness initiatives.
The 2025 Living with Lynch workshop participants were chosen following an application and interview earlier this year. Patients were selected to reflect a variety of experiences on the Lynch journey, including cancer survivors, patients, previvors, as well as a variety of cancer types and gene mutations. We’re incredibly excited for the Living with Lynch 2025 Patient Workshop! Learn more about Lynch syndrome HERE.
