I am a nurse and shoe salesperson living in Greendale, Wi. I enjoy singing, swimming, walking and taking care of my 11 year old grandson in my spare time.
I have no family history of cancer because I am adopted. I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer on 9-13-10. Symptoms of fatigue, abdominal pain and rectal bleeding since 8-25-10. Bowel resection surgery on 9-20-10. Pathology report of Stage II.
I’m looking to becoming an advocate for Colon Screening and participate in a 2011 walk.
My words of wisdom for others would be to be faithful and courageous. Also, know your own body and take care of getting the help you need with symptoms you experience.
