My dad fought colon cancer for three long, hard years. He was the bravest man ever known. No matter how sick he was he never complained, not one time, up until his last breath. I have always thought of my dad being the toughest man ever, and he went out that way! My dad and I were extremely close; we talked all day every day. We laughed, cried and had many talks that I will always cherish! I miss him terribly! I would love to volunteer for Get Your Rear In Gear, to honor him, and many like him, and the ones that are fighting!
My dad was a hard worker; he worked everyday up until he passed away. He was the funniest, most tenderhearted tough man I have ever known. He loved his family more than anything. He was not only my dad, but he was my best friend!
He always used to say, “You have to work today for what you want tomorrow.”
