Trinity Regional Health System – Muscatine is partnering with Get Your Rear in Gear to offer assistance for colon cancer screenings for under or uninsured patients. The program is paid for through funds raised at the inaugural Muscatine Get Your Rear In Gear run/walk held in September 2011.
The American Cancer Society advises everyone to learn their family history of colon cancer, and remind men and women over 50 to get tested for the disease. If caught early, colorectal cancer is highly treatable.
