March is one of the most exciting times of the year for us here at the Colon Cancer Coalition– #BlueforCRC, landmarks lit up across the country, golf tournaments, skiing, call on congress, and talking sh!t are all makes up one of the busiest times of the year for us. Our  annual #BlueforCRC event is happening all March long! Join us by turning local landmarks, hospitals, or even your house #BlueforCRC and tag us with the results! Here’s one of our favorites:

Colon Cancer Coalition President, Chris Evans, is invited to a Cancer Moonshot meeting with the Biden administration on March 10, 2023. Leaders from colorectal cancer advocacy organizations will meet with members of the Cancer Cabinet to discuss advancing screening and other support the administration can provide for colorectal cancer.

Fight Colorectal Cancer’s United in Blue Rally & Call on Congress

Our friends at Fight Colorectal Cancer are holding their annual Call on Congress event in Washington D.C. from March 12-14, and we’ll be there with over 40 other organizations for the United in Blue Rally on the National Mall, Monday, March 13. Rally day is followed by over 185 advocates storming Capitol Hill on Tuesday, March 14 to lobby policymakers for change.

Cologuard Classic

We are thrilled to be a part of this PGA Tour Champions event. March 3-5, 2023. Along with 150 patients, survivors, and advocates from 12 advocacy organizations, we will be celebrating survivors and patients, and watch some great golf! Find out about the pairings here..

 

Get Your Rear in Gear races kicked off in Austin last weekend! We have some excellent events returning, and even some new events this year! Can’t make it to an event, but want to contribute? Fundraise Your Way events

Our Fundraise Your Way events are off to a strong start this year, with colorectal cancer awareness month packed full of fun! Take a look and find an event near you. Feeling inspired? Start your own event. All the details can be found on our website.

Philadelphia Runway for a Cure & Booty Ball

On March 18, 2023, Philadelphia is trading in their running shoes for dancing shoes. This amazing night will celebrate eight colon cancer survivors as they take the Runway for a Cure. The runway show is followed by dancing in the Booty Ball.  Enjoy cocktail hour, plated dinner, open bar, music, dancing, silent auction, donation appeal, and so much more! Plus all the funds raised stay in the greater Philadelphia tri-state area to support colon cancer initiatives.

Not So Gala Gala, Beech Mountain, NC

March 3, 2023, our friends at Beech Mountain Resort and Beech Mountain Brewing Co. are hosting an evening with musician Sam Bush for the Not So Gala Gala. Sam is a cancer survivor, and has won four International Bluegrass Music Association Mandolin Player of the Year Awards. This inaugural event is surely one to remember, and is all in support of our work here at the Colon Cancer Coalition. Get your tickets here.

Runs for Buns, Beech Mountain, NC 

March 4, 2023, also at Beech Mountain Resort, is the annual Runs for Buns! Runs for Buns works similar to our Get Your Rear in Gear events, but this time on skis! Participants can ask family and friends to pledge their ski run to the Colon Cancer Coalition. All proceeds from Runs for Buns supports our work raising education and awareness for colorectal cancer. Colon Cancer Awareness Walk, Hampton Roads, VA

Our incredible volunteers in Hampton Roads, Virginia have organized an awareness walk for March 25, 2023. Walkers will be entered into a raffle, and all walkers will receive a t-shirt upon registration.

GI Clinic Golf Event in Hattiesberg, MS

Join our friends at Hattiesberg GI Associates on March 31, 2023, and their second annual golf tournament benefiting the Colon Cancer Coalition!
